Decanted Sample of Bleu Noir Parfum by Narciso Rodriguez

I don't think the projection or sillage on this one was the best but parfums usually don't project very well so I leave that as a side note. This guy is a dichotomy of sorts: warm yet fresh, soft yet creamy, bright yet dark. Overall, it didn't blow me away but I would buy it if I found a good sale.

This is musk at its best. This slips on and blends with my own scent effortlessly. The most enticing, non-offensive summer fragrance imaginable.

Of all the blue scents, I found this one and Bleu De Chanel to be most enjoyable. BDC smelled slightly different from the EDT to the Parfum, but close enough to have a signature family scent profile. If you like one, you'd probably like them all. Classically blue, without the marine/aquatic scent, and thus I feel more versatile and fitting for all seasons and all settings.

I found that BDC has a more fresh and clean scent compared to Bleu Noir Parfum, which reminded me a lot of The One EDP. To my nose, Bleu Noir Parfum had a less fresh and more cinnamon, dark, sensual, date night profile to it. It seems equally versatile, just maybe for folks looking for something different than BDC or other blue frags. I think I'd go with Bleu noir before BDC, simply because I really don't dig blue scents and really like The One EDP. The One is just a skin scent so soon after spraying, so maybe the Narciso fragrance could fill that slot for me.

At any rate, Bleu Noir is one I'd definitely recommend trying if looking for something blue or unique but versatile. I could see it making it into my rotation down the line. For now, I am only trying to purchase scents that absolutely wow me. The goal is to have 6-10 total and stick with that for the most part. No sense rushing to own everything immediately. I am having fun buying decants and experimenting, learning my likes and dislikes, and narrowing things down.

Blew me away. Dark and powdery version of the edp. Love it.

I own the Edt version and this one is better. Now if you have a lot of iris frags like myself you won't be blown away but this one is definitely worth a try. I'd give the Parfum between a 4.0 and a 4.5. I'd recommend getting a sample.

This was the most powdery, iris fragrance of the bleu noir line and my most favorite. It feels the highest quality and i found the performance to be the best honestly

It's a unique classy iris scent mostly due to the turmeric. Whenever I pick it up it really throws me off. It's maybe too spicy, but whenever I don't detect that note, it's really great

Dior homme intense with citruses and sans-vanilla. More emphasis on versatility and woods. Not as good as DHI, but perfect for people seeking more versatility out of an iris fragrance on a budget.

Of all the great men's iris fragrances out there, this one could be the best.  Signature worthy. The suede note in here really differentiates this from it's contemporaries. Love this stuff

It has the same type of iris found in Dior Homme Intense, so gives off a lipsticky vibe. But overall a pretty good scent.

This is very iris-forward. It has the expected powderiness you typically get with iris, backed by clean muskiness that seems to be the Narciso Rodriguez house DNA. There's a faint sweetness that I think must be tonka bean, but it's not over-bearing. It smells classy but not too mature, and lasts quite a long time.  

An interesting flanker. The iris is present but it is still very musky like the original. Glad I got to smell it, but not sure how much I will be wearing it.

The best from Narciso Rodriguez. Best use in colder weather. Good performance and longevity.

Nice iris, fresh scent. good date night or everyday scent. Not a great hot summer scent  

It is so fresh and sweet at the same time with the iris I really like it and wish I had a whole bottle.

I hate falling in love with a fragrance when I previously hated iris-based scents and finding out it's extremely hard to find in the states. Dammit. It's so fresh, somewhat powdery and kinda classy. I wanna wear this after every shower. FUDGE.

I love this one! Such a classy and sexy iris scent. I would 100% buy a bottle, but I think it might be discontinued. Not completely sure on that. If so, I might try the EDP version to see if I like it too.

Iris done beautifully! Keeps the awesome Blue Noir DNA and adds depth. Could be worn anytime except summer. Great for night out or for a date. Could even be someone’s signature scent.

I absolutely love this fragrance. It's very clean and a bit powdery. Not offensive in any way. I could see this being an everyday fragrance. May not be everyone's cup of tea because of the iris so it's a good idea to try before you buy.

This is a fantastic option for anyone who is a fan of iris fragrances. Smells extremely high quality. Can probably be word all times if the year except for extremely hot summer days. Highly recommend.

I REALLY wanted to like this one and while the EDP was so good in my opinion, the parfum version was just "ok".  The EDP is floral and woodsy at the same time bring a bright scent trail during the summer heat.  Parfum was more of a night-out type of fragrance and, while it was ok, it just wasn't what I expected and not as good as the EDP to me.
