Smells great lasts maybe an hour on me before reducing to a skin scent but if you can reapply very frequently go for it

Really enjoyed this scent, smells like if Acqua Di Gio and La Nuit De L’homme had a baby. Fresh but spicy and great for a date, especially a summer night. The big issue is its performance though, not only does it not last long it has very poor sillage, if not for that itd be an A+, I reccomend giving Acqua Di Gio Parfum a try if you like this but want more performance

This is a nice scent and works well on my skin. My wife likes this a lot. Pretty straight forward fragrance.
Probably more of a fall/winter scent or evening out.

The complexity of the scent is a bit underwhelming for me. It leaves me wanting more as if I'm waiting for the beat to drop. I wouldn't buy a full bottle but would accept it as a gift.

In my opinion this is too powdery almost a little too elegant wouldn’t recommend for younger people.

Are you in the market for a powdery, nighttime scent? Something that will make you feel like the restaurant is jealous of your style? This seductive, smooth juice is THE ONE.

If you frequent the various online fragrance boards and have ever looked into a date night scent, you almost certainly came across a recommendation for D&G's The One EDP. In my quest to find a few date night scents, I came across the same recommendation, but also came across just as many comments about how played out and common this fragrance is as a date night scent, thus making it somewhat overrated. I was torn, and thankfully started stockpiling decants so that I could try things out and avoid regrets.

Here's what I think after testing it out: This is a stellar fragrance, and you should probably order a decant of it if you're at all interested, rather than try to avoid it so that you aren't "the common man." I try to be different and tend to be that way naturally, but I am so glad I was curious enough to order it. I feel that this is the perfect date night scent for someone who's got a partner they are already close with and this will definitely end up in an intimate scenario with. I am married, and while the scent is not very powerful as far as projection/sillage, it is beautiful, delicious, and masculine without going anywhere near over-the-top in being so. This isn't the macho guy trying to prove he's a man... this is the confident guy who doesn't need every woman to want him, but strongly desires for that one special woman to crave him the closer she gets to him.

I smell cinnamon, just the right amount of tobacco leaf, and a slight sweetness that is just present enough to balance things out but not overpower the sense of smell. It's hard to describe, but this fragrance really does seem like the ideal date night scent for those not wanting to show off, but definitely wanting to impress their date as the night progresses.

In summary, I will never not have this in my arsenal. A small bottle to use from time to time is a must, but I don't see the need for to go out and grab a 100 mL bottle or anything. Focus on your signature and versatile scents, but grab some size of this (if you test and like it), as I think it'll always come in handy! There are probably more wowing date night scents, but likely none as wonderful and safe as this. Unique, delicious, intriguing, and inoffensive. I'd also add that this is versatile and could be used as an office, school, or daily driver scent for sure, depending on your mood, the weather, or your taste in fragrances.

Smells great, tobacco and a bit fresh IMO. I don't think the performance is as bad as everyone says, at least on my skin, definitely lasts long enough for a date night or similar event.

Smell wise this is an easy 10/10. Amber greatness but the performance is atrocious.

Very bright and fresh opening. Longevity is an issue but fixed easily enough if you have the opportunity to respray after 2-3 hours. The scent itself is a beautiful citrus that does not overwhelm. Stays at 5 stars for me from the scent itself, sillage and performance time isn't my biggest concern.

Beautiful, incredible scent for men. Sweeter and less spicy than I was expecting, but dries down to a beautiful ambery sweetness. Love this, only issue is the performance is not the best

Like many others have said, smells great, but doesn't perform well. I would still wear it at night, even just to hang out at the house before bed, but it wouldn't be something I'd use much otherwise.

Like many others say, it is a good date night scent that you can’t go wrong with. At least for me personally, it’s not anything too exciting or ‘stand out’, but I get the appeal. Super safe and enjoyable.

I’ve had the EDT for years and absolutely loved it, so I figured I’d give this one a shot to see how it measured up, and it’s pretty excellent. Same DNA as the EDT but more well rounded.

As is well documented, the scent is delightful, but the longevity is very poor. I actually prefer the overall scent of the EDT to this. I was willing to sacrifice a little of it for the hope of better longevity with the EDP, but it wasn't there.

It just doesn’t last that long for me.

This is probably my most complimented autumn/winter fragrance, it's very versatile during the cold months, suits most occasions.
This opens up with a sweet orangey freshness on top that quickly makes way for the sweet amber and cardamon combination with a smooth tobacco dry down.

The right amount of sweetness with some woody notes. Projection is good, longevity is average at best.

I like this scent because it is masculine and smells great. I use it when I want a pick me up or when I want to start my day on a strong note. Would definitely buy it again.

At first I thought this fragrance was overhyped but after a couple of wears I’m really enjoying it! It’s almost sweet and sour, the longevity isn’t the best but this is pretty good for the price point!

Very good cologn

Heard a lot about this one and I think the hype is justified. It's sweet and warm. It really does make a perfect fall fragrance for me. Projection is solid, performance could be better . Getting about 5 hours.

I find the sweetness of this to be just right and not too sweet. I find it doesn't last too long, just a few hours before it just becomes a skin scent and zero projection.

The first time I smelled this fragrance I was in love with it. When I compared this side by side to gucci envy, I now deeply see it as inferior. The sweetness of the fragrance is really off putting and makes it seem almost like a girl who just finished smoking and decided to put on a small amount of sweet perfume to help mask the smell and... it just smells weird. Most of the notes of this fragrance are the same or comparable to gucci envy but it just doesn't cut it for me. I'd imagine many more people liking this more but for me I know theres better out there.

So I had never smelled this one before and was expecting something dark and spicy and even sweet. But this one is actually fresh and a fantastic combo of citrus, amber, ginger and wood.

I have smelled The One in department stores and found it to be awful. I continued to see raving reviews on the fragrance. I wanted to try it, so I figured decant house was the way to go. Quickly received my order, and the fragrance is outstanding. It is also long lasting. Decant house has given me the ability to really try new fragrances out without having to commit fully and potentially wasting my money.
