Decanted Sample of Castley by Parfums de Marly

Very nice scent. Nothing profound or ground breaking.

From the first spray, I loved this scent. Wonderful citrus and spicy ginger opening that I wished lasted a little longer. After an hour, I thought it was already starting to fade so I reapplied some more. Little did I know that I was really going nose blind to it. I arrived home later that night after work and my spouse asked me if I just applied more fragrance because she said whatever I was wearing was pretty strong.  What I did smell was wonderful and I’ll be a little more light on the trigger next time. I could smell it on my skin the next morning.
I can see this going into rotation along with Greenley and Ganymede this summer.

Smells great I won’t deny that, but it’s the same DNA used in almost all their fresh fragrances. Sedley, Greenley, Percival and now Castley have different notes but they all end smelling like a sour lemon moss in the middle notes and in the drydown.  It would be great if they released a fresh fragrance that didn’t end up smelling like every other one in their lineup.
