Decanted Sample of Allure Homme Sport EDT by Chanel

I was really excited to try this lineup but each one was underwhelming. Out of the 3 this was the worst but also the cheapest. To me its lemon forward with hints of musk and damp wood but still very fresh. Kind of like light lemon cleaner sadly, really wanted to like this one, id reccomend Dior Homme Cologne over this anyday

I initially loved this scent so much that I almost bought it from a local store a day after smelling it on a test strip and my skin. Thankfully, I discovered the world of decants and ordered up a bunch, including Allure Homme Sport (AHS), and took the time to truly judge it.

After spraying on both sides of my neck and elbow crease, I smiled at how lovely this fragrance smells. It is outstanding, and despite the fact that I ended up deciding against buying a bottle of this one, I will always understand how it received rave reviews. My issue is that the dry-down uncovered the aquatic/marine notes, which for some reason make me feel physically ill. It's almost as if I have gotten sea sick in the past and thus have a negative auto-reaction to marine scents. All I know is that when I began to smell the marine/aquatic notes mixed with the vanilla, I knew I wouldn't be moving forward with a purchase.

If you like marine/aquatic notes, you are going to LOVE this, especially as a summer scent. But, I think it is much more versatile than that, and would personally wear it year-round if it worked for me. If you're on the fence about this one, try it for sure! It's popular for a reason!
